CNC Turning Machine Setup & Operator Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines, downloading programs, interpreting blueprints, and performing critical quality inspections to ensure all finished parts meet precise specifications.
CNC Turning Machine Setup & Operator Pay:
$35/hour (Plymouth, MN)
CNC Turning Machine Setup & Operator Shift:
Monday - Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm and Friday, 6am-12pm (Mandatory OT)
CNC Turning Machine Setup & Operator Key Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2+ years of experience with CNC turning machine setup and operation. Strong ability to read and understand blueprints, job travelers, and technical specifications. Experience with downloading/uploading CNC programs and setting up job operations from scratch. Skilled in using precision quality inspection tools for "First Article" and in-process inspections. Familiarity with job tracking/manufacturing software. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
CNC Turning Machine Setup & Operator Key Responsibilities:
Receive and interpret job travelers and blueprints to understand specific job operations and part requirements. Utilize job tracking software to accurately "punch in" and "punch out" of jobs daily, and fill out daily "Job Cards." Download CNC programs from storage, perform complete machine setups, and tear down machines upon job completion. Upload updated/verified programs back into program storage when jobs are complete. Submit parts for "First Article" inspection and run production operations only after approval is granted. Perform meticulous in-process inspections to verify parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Sharpen tools unassisted and perform routine machine maintenance. Record tooling usage and setup information on job inventory forms. Join Us.
