Shift:

Monday-Thursday:

6am-3pm Friday- 6am-12pm

Job Summary:

A Machine Operator I safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment, inspecting parts, and other production duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assists in operations of multiple machines. Operate production machines and other manufacturing equipment. Loads and unloads machines or containers with raw, work in process, or formed materials. Performs visual and part inspection using basic measuring devices to ensure quality of part. Produces parts at an achievable rate to ensure efficiency. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Good mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to use simple quality devices such as gauges and calipers. Basic computer skills to enter daily production numbers and basic mathematical skills.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing experience desired but not required. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read measuring instruments. Basic math skills and must have a working knowledge of decimals. Previous saw operator experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Requires standing 90% of shift. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting and lifting with arms extended. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Average part weighs 5-15 lbs. Requires good manual dexterity.
