ROLE PURPOSE

The Machine Operator position is responsible for efficiently operating the CNC machine in order to produce the required cuts for each job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and monitor CNC Machines
• Ensure the correct material is loaded and programmed
• Pre-inspect material before processing
• Scanning of barcodes
• Ensure material is aligned with blades, water jets, verifying correct material, and orientation
• Observe operation of equipment assigned to ensure proper maintenance and safe operations
• Keep assigned work areas cleaned and maintained in a high state of cleanliness/readiness.
• Pull Measurement
• Coordinate repairs of equipment as needed.
• Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with operation manuals, procedures.
• Track and update job status
• Assist with daily operation and maintenance of all areas
• Safe operations of material movement
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Follow all safety guidelines
• Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Dependable and timely
• Experience working with a CNC machine or similar large machinery
• Working knowledge of stone polishing and order of operations
• Experience working with stone product or stone industry
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to read CAD and drawings
