Job Description
CNC Lathe Operator R&S Machining, a division of Threadlock Precision, is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to support our aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating CNC lathes to produce precision components while maintaining strict quality and efficiency standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a high-precision production environment. Responsibilities Operate CNC Lathes to produce aerospace and defense components Load and unload parts, monitor cycle times, and inspect finished components Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Make basic offset adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy Monitor tooling performance and notify setup machinists or supervisors of tooling wear or machine issues Maintain production documentation and ensure traceability requirements are followed Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area Maintain compliance with AS9100 and internal quality standards Qualifications 1-3 years of CNC lathe operating experience preferred Experience with Okuma controls (OSP) preferred Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Understanding of tight-tolerance machining in a production environment Aerospace or defense machining experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work interdependently and in a team-oriented shop Why Join R&S Machining?
