In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Set up CNC laser cutting machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on detailed blueprints and specifications. Operate laser table equipment efficiently, monitoring the cutting process to ensure precision and quality throughout production runs. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately produce parts. Perform routine maintenance on laser machinery, including calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports for traceability and process improvement purposes. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks such as welding, sheet metal work, or assembly as needed to meet project deadlines. Qualifications 1 year experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters or CNC milling machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings effectively. Familiarity with tooling setup, calibration procedures, and routine maintenance of CNC machinery. Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools confidently. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal fabrication, pressing (press brake machine), stamping presses, or electrical discharge machining is a plus. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately. Experience with forklift operation or crane handling is advantageous for material movement within the shop floor.
