In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and experience working within a manufacturing facility. Duties Set up CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) drawings for precise machining. Operate CNC equipment such as CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and CNC presses with accuracy and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify part dimensions against specifications. Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment when necessary. Collaborate with the fabrication team on tooling setup, adjustments, and quality control measures. Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production outputs, and quality inspections. Support assembly line processes by preparing machined components for packaging or further assembly. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM programming software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, tooling, and machining processes. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately. Experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools. Knowledge of factory safety protocols and materials handling procedures; forklift certification is a plus. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks for part review or modifications. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements and machine settings. Hands-on experience with welding, assembly line operations, or fabrication techniques is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; strong attention to detail is essential.
