Job Description

CNC Operator Job Summary The CNC Operator is responsible for operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts that meet quality and production standards. This role requires the ability to read technical drawings, monitor machine performance, and perform routine quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, and Swiss) Load and unload raw materials and finished parts Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Perform basic machine setups, offsets, and tool changes Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Maintain quality standards and document inspection results Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues Follow all safety procedures and company policies Meet production schedules and efficiency goals Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Basic understanding of CNC controls and machining concepts Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to use measuring tools accurately Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications Technical or vocational training in CNC machining Experience with specific CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Mazatrol) Familiarity with G-code programming (basic understanding) Experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and machinery
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
