Job Description We are seeking a self-motivated Fabrication Technician with a focus on quality to set up, calibrate, and operate advanced machinery for shaping metals and materials to precise specifications based on blueprints. This role emphasizes safety, precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a collaborative manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Safely and proficiently operate and maintain CNC laser, waterjet, press brakes, and various other metal shaping equipment. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce parts with precision. Utilize precise measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy. Manage inventory, labor tracking, and production data within ERP systems while meeting deadlines. Seek out ways to enhance part fabrication efficiency and contribute to departmental growth. Practice strong time management to meet production goals. Adhere to 5S policies, quality standards, and safety procedures. Obtain forklift and crane operation certifications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of fabrication experience. Proficiency in blueprint reading and measuring tools. ERP system familiarity preferred. Strong math skills and logical reasoning ability. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Work Environment & Physical Demands During work, you will be exposed to various elements like metal chips, coolant, and mechanical parts. The role may involve working in wet/hot conditions and handling chemicals. The position requires physical activities such as standing, walking, using tools, reaching, lifting heavy objects, and more.
