In our 90,000 sq ft facility, located in Hudson, NH we have the resources to help our customers manufacture parts that meet the most demanding specifications. We are very busy supporting the Defense and Aerospace sectors. These projects have a direct impact on our national security and keep our warfighters safe. Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Set Up Operator and become a vital part of producing high-precision components for diverse industries. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate production runs. Your expertise will help us maintain top-quality standards while fostering a safe, productive, and innovative work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills and mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company committed to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare CNC machines such as CNC lathes and Swiss style CNC machines for production runs by installing tooling, fixtures, and verifying machine readiness. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to produce accurate components. Conduct machine setups with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions. Monitor machining processes during operation, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Maintain detailed documentation of setups, adjustments, and production logs to ensure traceability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience in Setup of CNC lathe and/or Swiss style CNC machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes, tooling selection, and fixture setup. Proficiency in reading blueprints Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately. Knowledge of GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict tolerances. Experience working with Fanuc or similar CNC control systems. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances. Familiarity with manufacturing environments including plastics injection molding or welding is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment safely and effectively. Mechanical aptitude combined with lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes.
