Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and/or CNC Operator, where you will play a vital role in producing high-precision components using advanced CNC machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to create parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in programming, setup, and operation will directly contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovation. We value proactive problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to develop their skills in machining and automation. Duties Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, including Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts efficiently. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling, and mechanical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling setups for assembly or repair tasks when necessary. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency on the shop floor. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Operator with hands-on knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks for part design review. Strong understanding of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality control. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus. Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine adjustments. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is preferred. Competence in operating CNC equipment controlled by Fanuc systems or similar controls; familiarity with CNC lathe and milling machines essential. Valid use of precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and bore gauges for quality assurance. Ability to work safely using hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; willingness to learn lean manufacturing techniques is advantageous. Join us in shaping the future of manufacturing by bringing precision parts from concept to reality! Your skills will help us maintain our reputation for quality while advancing your career in a vibrant industrial environment.
