In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and innovation. Hiring 1st and 2nd shift. Duties Prepare and set up CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring all tooling and fixtures are correctly installed. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to program and adjust machine operations accurately. Write or modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software like Fanuc controls, SolidWorks, CAD tools, or other programming platforms. Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling wear, or mechanical faults to minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to safety protocols by utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operations responsibly within lean manufacturing principles. Support quality assurance by inspecting finished parts for conformance with specifications using precision measuring instruments and making necessary adjustments. Skills Proven experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes and CAM programming software. Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD design tools, and related manufacturing software platforms. Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, machining techniques, plastics injection molding processes, welding practices, and assembly procedures. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, speeds, feeds, and material properties. Experience working with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at continuous improvement and waste reduction. Ability to operate forklifts safely when moving raw materials or finished products within the facility.
