CNC Operator

Direct Hire Beyond TalentEdge has partnered with a local manufacturing company in search of a CNC Operator to join their team. The CNC Operator will independently set up and operate CNC machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, perform machine setups, and ensure parts meet quality specifications while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including mills, lathes, or other CNC machinery
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Load programs, set tooling, offsets, and fixtures
  • Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining or setup issues
  • Change tooling and perform routine machine maintenance
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, and other team members
Requirement Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC setup and operating experience
  • Ability to independently perform machine setups
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge preferred
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
  • Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and maintain tight tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary & Schedule:
$23-$30 per hour depending on experience
Schedule:
