CNC Set Up Operator

Job Opening:

CNC Setup / Shop Support Job Summary We are a small business looking for someone dependable, organized, and flexible—someone willing to pitch in and help get done whatever the day calls for. This position is centered mainly on setting up CNC equipment, including our laser, robotic welder, and milling machine, while following procedures and helping keep work moving in an organized way. There may occasionally be some manual welding, but that is not the main part of the job. We know this is a unique mix, and most people will not come in with every skill. That is okay. If someone has a good attitude, mechanical ability, and experience in one of these areas, we are willing to train the rest. Main Responsibilities Set up and help run CNC equipment including our laser, robotic welder, and milling machine Follow job instructions, drawings, and shop procedures carefully Load materials, prepare tooling, and help keep jobs moving efficiently Check work for quality and make adjustments as needed Help maintain an organized work area and support daily shop needs Occasionally manual welding when needed, but this is not a primary welding role Who We Think Will Fit Well Someone with a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn Organized and comfortable following procedures Flexible and willing to pitch in with whatever needs to get done that day Mechanical aptitude or experience with machine setup, manufacturing equipment, or shop work Ability to read and follow job instructions, drawings, and procedures Documenting skills are a plus AutoCAD or Inventor experience is a plus If you have experience and a great attitude but only want part-time work, we will consider this Skills & Work Style Organized and able to work through tasks in a steady, methodical way Comfortable following procedures and helping improve consistency in the shop Flexible team player willing to pitch in where needed Good attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new equipment or processes Mechanical aptitude and basic shop awareness Preferred Qualifications (Optional) AutoCAD, Inventor, or CAD/CAM experience Experience with CNC setup or manufacturing equipment Experience working in a shop or fabrication environment

Pay:

$21.00 - $29.45 per hour
