CNC Machine Operator

About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to produce precision components using mills and lathes. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and specifications. Your expertise will contribute directly to the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to machine metallic parts to tight tolerances. Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and BOMs to determine specifications and dimensions. Use precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, dial indicators, and OD/ID mics to verify part dimensions. Perform machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist, specializing in large parts. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Experience with Fanuc and/or Fagor controls. Preferred Skills Programming knowledge for CNC machines. Experience with large turning operations. Familiarity with Monarch, Leblond, and Niles manual lathes. Experience with Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).
