In this role, you will be primarily responsible for forming and bending parts on a CNC Brake Press to meet precise blueprint specifications, keeping up with production schedules, and meeting strict quality requirements. Shift & Schedule Multiple full-time shift structures are available to fit your lifestyle, both operating on a standard 4x10 schedule (enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!): 1st
Shift:
Daytime hours (Specific start/end times will be confirmed during the interview process). 3rd
Shift:
Overnight hours (Includes applicable shift differentials).
Overtime:
Opportunities for voluntary overtime may be available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Machine Operation & Programming:
Form high-quality parts utilizing CNC Press Brake equipment. Generate programs directly at the machine controller for simple to moderately complex parts.
Setup & Tooling Selection:
Determine the correct tooling to form parts to specifications based on material type, thickness, bend radius, and part geometry. Complete setup procedures on simple to moderately complex part runs.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Proficiently read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, ensuring the part is oriented correctly according to the projected blueprint view.
Precision Measurements:
Make small, mathematically calculated angle and dimensional corrections at the machine. Measure work utilizing rules, gauges, calipers, squares, and templates.
Quality Assurance:
Use inspection devices to audit parts according to prints and product inspection plans. Periodically spot-check the quality of work via physical and visual inspections.
Data & Tracking:
Accurately enter production quantities and quality inspection results into the computer system.
Equipment Care:
Follow standard operating procedures and perform basic machine operator preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Safety & Culture:
Know, follow, and enforce all safety rules and regulations at all times. Share process improvement suggestions to help optimize the workspace.
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
3 or more years of verified experience as a Brake Press Operator is required. Advanced knowledge of brake press operations is highly preferred.
Technical Blueprint Skills:
Must be highly proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and router packets, with the ability to follow all written instructions precisely.
Measuring Equipment:
Proven familiarity and proficiency using dial calipers, squares, and various specialized measuring devices.
Math Knowledge:
Strong foundational knowledge of basic manufacturing mathematics.
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Licensures/Certifications:
None required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Work Setting:
Position is located indoors within an industrial manufacturing facility. Regular exposure to standard shop noise levels (requiring hearing protection), moving equipment, and mechanical parts.
Physical Capabilities:
Must be able to stand for the entire shift, bend, squat, twist, and turn regularly.
Lifting Requirement:
