Job Description

Are you passionate about precision and skilled with CNC machinery? Our client in Mentor, OH, is seeking a talented CNC Machine Set-Up Operator (Lathe) to join their innovative manufacturing team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to producing high-quality components. Starting pay is $25+/hr., depending upon skills. 2nd Shift Can be an opportunity on 1st Shift for the candidate with the right skillset
What You'll Do:
Set up and program 2-axis and 3-axis CNC lathes with expertise. Interpret blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, ensuring all operations meet exacting standards. Select, position, and secure tools, workpieces, and materials with accuracy. Verify quality through precise gaging methods and maintain thorough documentation. Adjust machine controls, feeds, speeds, and tool paths for optimal operation. Monitor the machining process, making real-time adjustments to maintain quality. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations. Conduct finish operations, such as deburring, and perform routine maintenance to keep machines in top condition. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, upholding safety standards.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
5+ years in machining and CNC operation, with hands-on expertise.
Skills:
Proficient in reading blueprints, utilizing measuring instruments, and executing preprogrammed instructions.
Tools:
Must bring a personal set of tools to work.
Physical Abilities:
This role involves standing, moving ,and lifting weight (up to 50 lbs.) frequently throughout the shift.
Safety-Conscious:
Ability to follow safety protocols and handle equipment safely.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), CAM software, and lean manufacturing metrics. Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) A team-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Why Join This Company?:
