Type:

(based on experience) About the Role We're a growing machine shop adding a 2nd shift and looking for dependable CNC Turning Operators . This position is focused on production work with stable, repeatable runs. You'll work alongside a Night Shift Lead and help keep machines running safely, efficiently, and to print. If you've operated CNC lathes and want a stable 2nd shift schedule with consistent work, we'd like to talk. What You'll Do Operate CNC turning centers (lathes) running production jobs Run bar-fed and hand-loaded parts depending on the cell Load/unload parts and monitor cycle times Perform routine tool changes (inserts, drills, etc.) as trained Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges per the inspection plan Track basic production counts and report issues quickly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow standard work instructions and quality requirements What We're Looking For (Required) CNC turning / lathe operating experience (production environment preferred) Ability to read basic blueprints and understand tolerances Comfortable using basic inspection tools (mics, calipers, gauges) Reliable attendance and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail and quality Nice to Have (Not Required) Bar feeder experience Tool offset experience Experience running multiple machines Familiarity with GD&T Milling experience (bonus) What You Can Expect Stable production work (repeatable runs) A dedicated shift lead to support training and troubleshooting Fixed 2nd shift schedule (no rotating shifts) Opportunity to grow into setup, lead, or programming support depending on skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (adjust as needed)
