Job Description

Entry-Level CNC Mill or Lathe Operator Job Overview:
Operate a variety of CNC machines, including mills and lathes, producing high quality parts for multiple industries. Learn to accurately use inspection tools and metrological devices to ensure part quality and compliance. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain machinery in optimal condition, while demonstrating a strong ability to learn and grow following on-the-job training and ongoing skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts that meet quality standards and production goals. Set up machines for pre-programmed jobs, ensuring efficient and accurate production runs. Document setup procedures and production processes to support consistency and repeatability. Adjust tool offsets, work coordinates, and machine parameters as needed for optimal performance. Modify or design custom fixturing to support production needs and improve efficiency. Monitor tooling condition and replace worn tools to maintain part quality and minimize downtime. Perform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools to verify part accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues to prevent equipment downtime. Collaborate with team members and support other operators as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check. High school diploma or equivalent required. Demonstration of a positive attitude that impacts the existing company culture. Ability and eagerness to learn new skills and adjust to increased workloads displaying a helpful work ethic. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to verify meets high quality standards. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Strong mechanical and technical skills with an ability to work with CNC machinery effectively individually and as a team. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring products meet strict quality standards. Familiarity with metrology tools and practices is a plus.
