CNC Machine Operator

About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to produce precision metal components utilizing CNC mills, lathes, and saws. In this role, you will interpret technical drawings, set up and adjust machinery, and ensure product accuracy using precision measuring instruments. Your expertise will contribute directly to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes. Responsibilities Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws to fabricate metal components according to specifications, contributing to overall production goals. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to optimize machining processes and ensure accurate production. Set up and adjust machinery with minimal supervision, enhancing production efficiency and minimizing downtime. Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify product accuracy, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Maintain production records and complete documentation, including shop travelers and inspection reports, to track progress and quality. Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, supporting continuous operations. Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe and compliant work environment. Maintain a clean and organized work area, applying 5S and lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. Solid understanding of shop math and machining principles. Ability to deburr and finish parts to meet quality standards. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality. Preferred Skills Technical school certification in machining or a related field. Basic CNC programming experience. Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
