Job Description

A Current iMatchSkills® account is required prior to referral to the employer. A growing CNC shop based in Newberg Oregon that serves a broad range of customers in the aerospace, defense, energy and tech sectors is seeking an entry level CNC Operator/Tech.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 18 yrs of age
  • Currently enrolled or High School diploma/GED
  • No experience necessary, training will be provided.
  • Mechanical Aptitude, with an interest in a manufacturing career
  • Experience in a CNC manufacturing setting may be desirable but is not required
Job Duties:
  • Running CNC machines
  • AS directed by Lead Staff
  • Deburring parts
  • Assembly of product
  • Monitor the accumulation of metal chips (the by-product of CNC machining) at the CNC machines and periodically consolidating the chips from chip collection barrels to one of our main chip collection bins.
  • Help keep the shop floor clear and tidy. Transport trash to the company dumpster(s). Assure pallets are stored/stacked per company policy.
  • Sweep/vacuum shop and office floor at least once a week.
  • Help monitor the coolant reservoirs of the CNC machines. The leads will provide you documentation & training on the procedures for this work.
  • Per company policies (supplied), help the CNC team monitor the work area for unsafe conditions & report any observed issues.
  • Label assets as directed.
  • Perform work on parts in secondary operations including: cleaning, degreasing, deburring, and packaging.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the CNC machinist team.

  • The employer is looking for new staff that are motivated to learn and work and be a part of a team.
  • Training will be provided as needed
  • Must be a US citizen, pass a background check and drug screen
  • Depending on the employee's performance, their role may be expanded in the future to incorporate more advanced tasks and responsibilities ' which may come with an incremental increase in compensation.
  • This role requires the use of safety equipment such as: safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection and breathing protection. The company provides the safety equipment as well as training on its proper use.

Benefits:
  • $20.00 per hour
  • 8am•5pm (Mon-Fri).
Overtime (beyond 40hrs per week) is not expected for this position. The actual work hours & workweek schedule will be negotiated.
  • 90-day probationary period, employees are eligible for health insurance and receive 80 hours of PTO.
As the company continues to grow, our benefits package will expand accordingly.
Pay:
