Job Description

We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to find an experienced CNC Machine Operator / Machinist who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts. This is an opportunity to join a team that values craftsmanship, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. You'll have the autonomy to set up and optimize jobs, troubleshoot challenges in real time, and help drive efficiency across the shop floor while mentoring less experienced machinists. What You'll Be Doing Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills and lathes Edit programs, adjust offsets, and perform conversational and G-code programming as needed Develop and optimize setups for new and existing production jobs Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain production flow Design and build fixtures and tooling to improve efficiency and consistency Maximize productivity by effectively managing machine cycle times Maintain and sharpen tooling while supporting preventative maintenance efforts Complete production and job documentation within the ERP system Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste and improve output Mentor junior machinists and support team development Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team discussions What We're Looking For 7+ years of machining experience in a production environment Strong experience with CNC machines, manual mills, and lathes Ability to independently set up jobs from start to finish Working knowledge of G-code and conversational programming Experience with HAAS machines preferred Exposure to program editing and light programming; Mastercam experience is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work and stay productive throughout machine cycles Basic computer and ERP system experience Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Disability and supplemental insurance options 401(k) with company contributions Paid vacation, personal days, and holidays Full-time, on-site position
