We are hiring a 1st Shift Press / CNC Tube Bender Operator to support continued growth and increased production demand. Position Overview This role operates mechanical and hydraulic presses and/or CNC tube bending equipment to produce steel components to specification. The position is hands-on and well-suited for a versatile operator who can support multiple work centers as production needs change. Schedule 1st Shift - Full-time, weekday schedule Overtime available based on workload Key Responsibilities Set up and operate stamping presses and/or CNC tube bending machines Load and unload material safely and efficiently Read and interpret mechanical drawings, routings, and work instructions Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy Perform minor adjustments and basic troubleshooting Handle material using forklifts, carts, or pallets as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate quality or production issues to supervision Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and efficiency Required Qualifications Experience operating presses, CNC tube benders, or similar fabrication equipment Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, tape, gauges) Forklift experience (certification preferred, not required) Comfortable working with steel material and shop equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable attendance and ability to work independently Preferred (Not Required) Experience with mechanical or hydraulic presses CNC tube bending setup experience Background in fabricated metal, wire products, or industrial manufacturing Basic preventive maintenance or die change experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Paid time off and holidays IRA with company match Stable workload and long-term growth opportunities Cross-training on multiple machines About Ace Metal Works Since 1946, Ace Metal Works has manufactured steel carriers, spools, and wire-handling products used across industrial and specialty markets.
