Job Description

Job Title:
CNC Operator II Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator II to join our team on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. As a CNC Operator II, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies. You will also operate manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes, and ensure the accuracy and quality of the completed products. This role requires excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines and manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes. Position parts in specified locations using various fastening devices. Operate hand-held, electrical, and pneumatic tools. Use lift equipment as needed. Utilize precision measuring tools to verify product accuracy. Recognize various material types and adjust equipment accordingly. Identify worn tooling and perform necessary changes. Inspect completed products and report defects or discrepancies. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to safety regulations. Complete all necessary paperwork, including production sheets. Set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials, and verify machine settings. Essential Skills Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2-3 years in CNC machining operations. Proficiency in machine setup, tool changes, off setting. Strong understanding of machining principles and tool sets, and program adjustments. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Solid problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure. Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities. Availability for flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts. Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in using CNC, lathe, mill, blueprint, and micrometer tools. Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus. Why Work Here?   • Pay•$20•23 + $3 shift premium.
Work Environment The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Employees may frequently experience vibration, and the noise level is usually moderate, possibly requiring hearing protection in specific locations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Ossian, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00
