Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to cut and machine wood products. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Operator will be expected to learn basic programming to be self-sufficient and will learn how to use a laser CNC. Ideal candidate has some programming experience. Duties Set up and operate CNC and Laser machines, ensuring they function correctly throughout the production process and are maintained in good working order. Interpret technical drawings to determine machining specifications. Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure quality control of finished products. Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance. Perform quality checks on finished parts using appropriate measuring tools and techniques. Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and resolve any issues that arise during machining operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Create basic programs to cut panels Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed Experience Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, with experience in wood working being highly desirable. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting designs and creating machining programs. Knowledge of basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Previous experience in quality control processes within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work effectively with hand tools and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery. A background in machining or related fields is advantageous, along with an understanding of industry standards for precision manufacturing.
