In a globally growing healthcare market, we are looking for a full-time Rollomatic Grinding Operator to strengthen our team in Memphis, TN. The Rollomatic Grinding Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Rollomatic CNC grinding machines to manufacture high-precision components used in medical devices. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Set up and operate Rollo Matic CNC grinders for production of medical-grade components (e.g., surgical tools, orthopedic pins, guide wires)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications
  • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, optical comparators, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Adjust machine settings and tool offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements are met
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate complex problems to maintenance or engineering as needed
  • Document production data, lot traceability, and inspection results per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Ensure compliance with
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, and internal quality policies
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S principles
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
  • The floater is expected to work a flex schedule: First shift is from 7AM - 3:30PM CST while second shift is scheduled 3:30PM - 12:00AM CST with overtime as needed.
Skills :
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving and math skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs
Education & Experience :
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating Rollo Matic CNC grinders or other high-precision CNC equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs occasion
  • Visual acuity required for close inspection and fine work
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols
