Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Duties Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines Program CNC equipment utilizing CAM programming software and manual CNC programming techniques Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings, applying GD&T principles for precise manufacturing Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each project, ensuring proper setup for accuracy and efficiency Conduct quality inspections throughout the machining process, making adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols involving hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklifts Experience Proven experience operating CNC machining centers such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes Strong background in CNC programming using CAM software; familiarity with G-code is essential Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements Ability to work with various materials including plastics used in injection molding applications Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly processes is advantageous Join our team as a CNC Machinist where your technical expertise will drive high-quality production!
