About DestructiveDevices.com DestructiveDevices.com specializes in the manufacture of military-related equipment, museum displays, inert ordnance, and military movie props. We are a locally owned machine shop in Paris, Tennessee, focused on high-quality, low-to-medium volume manufacturing projects involving large-caliber firearms-related components and historically significant military reproductions. If you are a CNC operator with an interest in military history, weapons systems, or unique machining work, this is an opportunity to work on projects unlike those found in a typical production shop. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team. Our current machinist needs additional support to keep all three machines operating efficiently, including: Multi-Axis CNC Lathe CNC Lathe 4-Axis CNC Mill This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining work in a custom manufacturing environment rather than repetitive high-volume production. No prior firearms or military-industry experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate on the specialized products and projects manufactured in our facility. Responsibilities Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently. Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and production operations. Load raw materials and monitor machining cycles. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality. Help maintain workflow across multiple machines. Read and interpret basic prints and machining instructions. Keep machines and work areas clean and organized. Work closely with shop personnel to complete custom manufacturing projects. Preferred Qualifications Prior CNC operating experience preferred. Experience with CNC lathes and mills is a plus. Basic understanding of machining principles and measuring tools. Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
