Full Job Description Machinist Specialist Location:
Fort Worth, TX Pay Rate:
$35.00/hr

1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30

Contract Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Machinist Specialist to support prototype, development, and complex machining operations in a high-technology manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for CNC and manual machining, tooling development, process optimization, blueprint interpretation, precision inspection, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior machinists. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with mills, lathes, CNC programming, setup, and operation while maintaining strict quality and production standards. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 7+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. Experience with manual machining equipment. EDGECAM programming experience required. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and CMM. Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Advanced shop mathematics including trigonometry. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment. Perform prototype, development, and experimental machining operations. Develop tooling, fixtures, and machining processes for new products. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment and CMMs. Perform SPC activities and maintain accurate quality documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues. Train and mentor junior machinists and manufacturing personnel. Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and operational readiness. Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
