Full-time | 1st Shift LINK Staffing is hiring a 5-Axis CNC Operator / Mechanical Assembler for a full-time opportunity in Southeast Houston. This role pays $28.00 per hour and is best suited for someone with hands-on experience operating 5-axis CNC machines and assembling precision mechanical components. This is a skilled manufacturing role. Candidates must be able to read technical drawings, work with close tolerances, use measuring tools, and support both CNC machining and mechanical assembly work. Job Highlights $28.00 per hour Full-time, 1st shift schedule Southeast Houston location 5-axis CNC experience required Precision mechanical assembly work Work with machined components, drawings, and measuring tools What You'll Do Operate 5-axis CNC machines for precision machining work Assemble mechanical components and systems using drawings, schematics, and work instructions Use hand tools and power tools for fit-up, adjustment, fastening, and finishing Check parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Verify measurements, alignment, fit, and overall quality during the build process Troubleshoot fit-up, machining, or assembly issues as needed Follow safety, quality, and production procedures throughout the shift Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for production What We're Looking For Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools Comfortable working with metric measurements Experience using hand tools and power tools Strong attention to detail when working with close tolerances Basic computer skills for production or machine-related documentation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work Preferred Experience Experience with machined components Knowledge of GD&T Aerospace, automotive, or high-precision manufacturing experience Vocational or technical training in machining or mechanical assembly Why Apply Competitive pay at $28.00 per hour 1st shift schedule Skilled hands-on work with CNC and mechanical assembly Good fit for candidates with 5-axis machining and precision manufacturing experience Weekly pay through LINK Staffing Apply Now If you have hands-on 5-axis CNC experience and can perform skilled mechanical assembly work, apply today to be considered.
