$19.00•$24.00 Temp to Hire for the right candidate! Responsibilities Set up and operate the radial arms drill press according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Adjust machine settings for different materials and drilling requirements, ensuring optimal performance. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to determine proper drilling locations and depths. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the drill press to ensure consistent operation. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on tooling setups, CNC programming adjustments, or process improvements. Requirements Proven experience operating radial arms drill presses or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, Fanuc controls, and CAM programming. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; knowledge of GD&T is highly desirable. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters. Experience with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, welding, and assembly processes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and plastics injection molding processes is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely when needed; certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is advantageous. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
