Austin, Texas Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of CNC machining operations, including both mill and lathe work, with a proven track record of producing high-quality precision components. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our growing operations while working with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities CNC Machine Operation Set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and blueprints Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code for various machining operations Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each specific job requirement Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards Perform routine machine maintenance and coordinate with maintenance team for complex repairs Execute both prototype and production runs efficiently while maintaining quality standards Quality Control and Precision Work Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications accurately Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM equipment to verify part dimensions Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure conformance to specifications Document inspection results and maintain detailed production records Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformances immediately to supervisors Implement corrective actions when parts fall outside acceptable tolerance ranges Programming and Setup Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software and manual programming techniques
