Job Description

CNC Machinist
    Hours:
    Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
      Pay:
      $16-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
      DESCRIPTION
      In a fast-paced manufacturing facility, under the direct supervision of the department lead the CNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates conventional and special purpose machines to fabricate high tolerance components from several types of materials. The Machinist uses shop safety practices, blueprints, measuring instruments, and offline/online programming interfaces. This position requires previous machining experience (CNC and manual), good oral communication skills, listening skills, and the ability to learn. Will require use of hearing protectors and safety glasses. With supervision, works independently and in cooperation with other employees. Also operates forklift truck, overhead cranes, and hoists. Essential Functions
      • Follow all shop and department safety rules.
      • Maintain reliable attendance and be present for scheduled shifts.
      • Safely operate machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
      • Lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 feet.
      • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining setup and tolerances.
      • Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining.
      • Set up and operate manual or CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills.
      • Adjust machine controls for speed, feed, coolant, and depth of cut.
      • Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as needed.
      • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
      • Perform test runs to verify machine accuracy.
      • Fit and assemble parts and verify proper alignment.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
