Essential Shipyard is seeking a talented CNC Machinist Operator to join our growing team. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment safely and efficiently Manufacture precision components for marine applications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications Perform machine setup, tool changes, and quality inspections Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet required tolerances Troubleshoot machining and production issues as they arise Maintain an organized and safe work environment Work efficiently to meet production schedules and estimated labor hours Collaborate with team members to improve processes and quality Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities Qualifications 1+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience required Experience with CNC mills, routers, lathes, or similar equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience with power tools and shop equipment Comfortable using computers, software systems, and mobile applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Marine manufacturing, boatbuilding, or composite industry experience is a plus Compensation $32.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience Benefits Healthcare 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) FinFit Financial Wellness Program Employee Discount Program Group-rate ancillary benefits including: Disability Insurance Life Insurance Critical Illness Coverage Cancer Care Coverage Training and educational opportunities Opportunities for career growth and advancement Location Requirements Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Anacortes and/or La Conner, Washington.
