Full Job Description About Us:
HEI Precision is an AS9100-certified, ITAR-registered CNC manufacturer specializing in producing precision parts and components upon our customers' demands and requirements. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service, we strive to maintain a reputation of excellence in our industry.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level machinist to join our team. This is a hands-on production role well suited for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a career in precision machining.
ITAR Requirements:
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers under the guidance of a lead operator or supervisor. Load and unload raw material and finished parts safely and efficiently. Read and interpret basic blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform in-process quality checks using hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Monitor machine operation and make minor offsets or adjustments as directed. Maintain a clean and organized work area Complete production documentation and record-keeping accurately. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, tooling wear, or quality concerns to supervision promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with precision machinery. Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. Experience with hand inspection tools (micrometers, calipers). Attention to detail Good communication skills. Ability to work safely Willingness to work assigned shifts, including overtime as needed. Work Environment Work is performed on the shop floor. Conditions include exposure to metal chips, cutting fluids, and moderate noise levels. It is expected that you will maintain a clean and organized workspace. Employees should be self-motivated, organized, hardworking, willing to learn, and work well with others.
