Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Plasma Operator and play a vital role in producing high-quality metal components. In this energetic position, you will operate and program CNC plasma cutting machines to precisely cut and shape various materials, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the fabrication process. Your expertise will contribute to delivering top-tier products while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC plasma cutting machines, ensuring precise cuts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings Program CNC plasma equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, and CNC controls to optimize cutting paths and productivity Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of parts Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including calibration and troubleshooting to minimize downtime Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; prepare raw materials for cutting operations Conduct quality control checks throughout the process to meet manufacturing standards, documenting any deviations or issues Requirements Proven experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including familiarity with CNC controls and CAM programming software Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fabrication processes, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, welding techniques, and related machinery Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes Factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating familiarity with assembly lines, packaging, materials handling, and warehouse procedures Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; proactive in maintaining safety standards and quality control measures Embrace this opportunity to advance your career in manufacturing by bringing precision machining skills into a vibrant team dedicated to excellence.
