$80000-125000 / year Job Description CTR Group is seeking several CNC Programmers in Mobile, AL . Immediate openings and urgently hiring! Position Summary We're seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team in Mobile, AL. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of custom parts in a job shop setting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, ensuring efficient setups, accurate machining, and minimal downtime across diverse projects. Key Responsibilities Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications to determine machining strategies Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on material and design requirements Collaborate with machinists and engineers to validate programs and troubleshoot issues during setup and production Simulate toolpaths and verify program accuracy prior to release to the shop floor Maintain organized program files and revision history for traceability and repeatability Support continuous improvement initiatives by refining machining processes and reducing cycle times Assist with fixture design and setup documentation when needed Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and
ISO/AS9100
standards Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field 3+ years of experience programming CNC mills and/or lathes in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment Proficiency in CAM software and G-code editing Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tolerances Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
