Fusion 360 CAM Programmer / CNC Router Operator will support production in a newly established manufacturing facility focused on carbon fiber components for the drone industry. This position will be responsible for programming, machine setup, fixture implementation, process documentation, inspection, and operation of an industrial CNC router. The role will initially focus on bringing a new machine into production, including adapting existing programs, developing and modifying fixtures, proving out processes, and establishing documentation. Once the process is in place, the position will continue as the primary operator of the CNC area, supporting ongoing production and process control. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Create, modify, and maintain CAM programs for CNC machining operations Adapt existing CNC programs and machining processes to a new machine platform Set up and prove out new jobs on an industrial CNC router Assist with startup and implementation of a new CNC machine in production Develop, modify, and improve fixtures and workholding for production needs Interpret drawings, models, and existing process information to support machining operations Establish setup methods and verify programs before release to production Run production parts and monitor machine performance, quality, and cycle consistency Perform first article, in-process, and final inspection of machined parts as required Measure parts using standard inspection tools and confirm conformance to specifications Create and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, process documentation, and revision control Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and quality issues and implement corrective actions Work with engineering, quality, and production personnel to support process improvements Manage tooling, consumables, and materials needed for router operation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Support related production activities as needed outside of CNC operation Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Education:
Experience with Fusion 360 CAM programming for CNC machining Experience operating CNC machines; router experience preferred Mill programming and machining experience will also be considered Ability to set up jobs, adjust programs, and troubleshoot machining issues independently Experience with fixture setup, workholding, and process development Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and part specifications Familiarity with inspection methods and standard measurement tools Strong mechanical aptitude and practical machining knowledge Ability to document processes clearly and maintain organized records Comfortable working independently in a role with broad responsibility. Education and Experience:
Experience with industrial CNC routers Experience machining composites or carbon fiber Experience supporting new equipment startup or process implementation Experience in a high-volume, high-ownership manufacturing environment Physical and Mental Requirements:
Standing and sitting for extended periods of time, Lifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent manner, Ability to work and communicate well with other employees and management, Ability to perform work utilizing manual dexterity of the hands, Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach above and below shoulders, and full use of upper extremities, Ability to easily move through an approximately 25,000 square foot warehouse building, Ability to read, write, and understand English, Correctable vision and hearing.
