In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement within our machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology and contribute to high-quality production in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA to optimize machining processes for CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), to ensure precise manufacturing specifications are met. Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Operate CNC machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and bore gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly by analyzing schematics and electrical diagrams; perform basic maintenance and adjustments as needed. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining processes. Requirements Proven experience programming and operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is highly preferred. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD for interpreting drawings and creating toolpaths. Familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for generating efficient machining programs. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation for precise machining operations. Mechanical knowledge of tooling, geometry, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and the use of precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to apply lean manufacturing techniques to streamline operations and reduce waste. Excellent math skills with a focus on geometry and measurements necessary for high-precision machining tasks.
