Job Description
Job Summary:
The CNC technician is responsible for machining precision parts and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required.Employment Type:
Temp to hire based on performanceJob Responsibilities:
- Work with relevant departments to determine critical features of parts and fixtures and interpret drawings
- Create and edit programs; set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision aluminum and stainless steel parts
- Perform checks with Microvu and other tools to verify critical tolerances for the manufactured parts and fixtures
- Assist with production tooling based on the company's standard process
- Assist with the established calibration process
- Troubleshoot production issues and initiate changes
- Counter-bore printed circuit boards based on production requests using the
TRAK CNC
machine- Cut ceramics using a laser cutting machine for the stockroom
- Perform preventive maintenance on Fadal machines
- Glue rings to the printed circuit boards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of CNC experience, or a certificate in Machine Tool Technology, CNC Machining, or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate of Science degree or some college coursework preferred
- Knowledge of the production process
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Read and understand blueprints, assembly drawings, and bill of materials
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software; SurfCAM preferred
- Experience in fixturing and setting up CNC machines for metal machining
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds The on-site interview process includes basic math (no calculator allowed) and x-y coordinate tests.
Pay:
