Full Job Description PAY:
The pay scale for this position is $34.50
  • $38.
24. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
SHIFT:
Monday through Friday
  • 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Potential overtime based on business needs)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints to understand the specifications for each job. Program for CNC machining center using Inventor and SolidWorks software. Program for CNC plate burning machines using AutoCAD and other related software. Assist sales in the creation of quotes. Create effective programs that are time and cost efficient. Plan appropriately to optimize the nest (cut the most possible pieces from a plate). Establish tool inventory for machining center. Participate in the inspection process for machined parts. Establish and maintain production schedule for CNC Machining Center. Actively involved in branch Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives. All other duties as assigned.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Post-Secondary Education in Engineering or Engineering Technician preferred. Able to read, modify and create drawings in AutoCAD. Strong aptitude for learning new technologies. Clear written and oral communication. Keen attention to detail. Comfortable working in a team environment with multiple competing priorities.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Exposure to AS400 or other ERP systems an asset. Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Experience or exposure to CNC programming. Experience in ProNest, PrimeCut, Inventor and SolidWorks is considered an asset. Familiar with
HAAS CNC
Vertical Machining Centers an asset.
