We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team and contribute to our growing portfolio of motorcycle parts including wheels, rotors, swing arms, handlebar risers, foot boards, and derby covers.
Job Summary:
As our CNC Programmer and Machinist, you will play a key role in the production of motorcycle parts. You will be responsible for programming CNC machines using Mastercam and Veriserf, setting up and operating various types of CNC machinery, and ensuring that all parts meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Programming:
Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for a variety of motorcycle components including wheels, rotors, swing arms, handlebar risers, foot boards, and derby covers. Create and edit programs to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance part quality. Troubleshoot and modify existing programs as needed to address production challenges.
Machining Operations:
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality motorcycle parts. Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain precision and accuracy. Monitor machine operations and conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control:
Inspect and measure parts using various tools and gauges to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Document and address any deviations or defects in the production process. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize your knowledge of motorcycle parts and their manufacturing processes to provide insights and recommendations for design and production improvements. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC technology and machining techniques.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to. Provide feedback and support to improve manufacturing processes and product designs.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, preferably in the motorcycle or automotive industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Mastercam for CNC programming. Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of motorcycle parts and their manufacturing processes, including wheels, rotors, swing arms, handlebar risers, foot boards, and derby covers.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Education:
