In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing CNC machining processes for complex components using advanced machinery and software. Your expertise will directly contribute to producing precision parts that meet stringent quality standards while adhering to lean manufacturing principles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and innovative techniques in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Duties Develop and write CNC programs for milling and turning operations using Fanuc controls, ensuring efficient and accurate machining of parts. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce high-precision components. Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA to create or modify part models and tooling designs. Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment, ensuring proper tool selection and machine calibration. Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency on the shop floor. Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tooling wear, fixture alignment, and machine parameters; adjust programs as needed for optimal performance. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming with Fanuc controls; experience with CAM programming software is essential. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and GD&T standards to ensure parts meet design specifications. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling selection, geometry, mechanical systems, and machining processes. Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing parts or tooling modifications. Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, and bore gauges effectively.
