Job Description

Company Overview Westcoast Precision, Inc. is a precision contract manufacturer and system integrator supporting the semiconductor, aerospace, and advanced technology industries. With operations in the United States, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Westcoast Precision specializes in high-precision CNC machining, cleanroom assembly, and contamination-controlled manufacturing of complex, build-to-print components and sub-assemblies. Job Summary Westcoast Precision is seeking skilled CNC Lathe Setup / Operators to set up, program, and operate CNC turning centers to manufacture tight-tolerance components for semiconductor and aerospace applications. This position is responsible for producing high-precision parts from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and nickel-based alloys, while ensuring full compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical machining experience, the ability to interpret complex drawings and CNC programs, and a commitment to producing precision components that meet strict dimensional and surface finish requirements. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components to print Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs using machine controls Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and 3D models Select tooling, fixtures, and appropriate machining parameters Monitor machining operations and adjust offsets, tooling, and parameters as needed Perform in-process and final inspection using precision measurement equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators Verify part conformity to dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and quality requirements Document setup parameters, tooling configurations, and inspection results Maintain machines and work area in accordance with company quality and safety standards Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machining efficiency and quality Requirements Minimum 3 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience in a precision manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation Experience machining tight-tolerance precision components Proficiency using precision measurement instruments Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Basic math skills including geometry and trigonometry relevant to machining
