Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer, where your expertise will drive precision and efficiency in high-quality component production. In this role, you will operate and program CNC milling machines, ensuring that complex parts are manufactured to exact specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with advanced machining technologies will contribute to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Duties Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines using Haas and Fanuc controls to produce precision parts in accordance with detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM programming software, ensuring optimal tool paths for efficient machining processes. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to verify dimensions and tolerances before machining. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including tool changes, calibration, and inspection of tooling and fixtures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling setups to assist with assembly or secondary operations as needed. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workstations, reducing waste, and improving workflow efficiency. Skills Extensive experience with CNC programming and operation on CNC milling machines, particularly Haas and Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawing interpretation. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and general CAD tools for part design review. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including tooling setup, assembly, and machining techniques. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for dimensioning and tolerancing tasks. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction within the production environment. $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
