NC Programmer Must Haves:
Experience on 5 axis milling and turning NC programming. Familiar with NX programming software. Experience with cutting tool selection and improvements. Job Summary The NC Programmer supports •manufacturing operations in Torrance by developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for complex aerospace components. The role works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Machinists, Quality, and Tooling to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize NC/CNC programs for multi axis machining centers (3 , 4 , and 5 axis) using CAD/CAM software Interpret engineering drawings, models, GD&T, and specifications to generate accurate machining instructions Support machining of aerospace grade materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, Inconel, titanium, etc.) Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Machinists to resolve process, tooling, and quality issues Validate programs through simulations, prove outs, and first article support Ensure compliance with Client, AS9100, FAA, and customer quality requirements Maintain NC documentation, revision control, and standard work instructions Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time, cost, quality, and safety Required Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Machining, or Engineering Demonstrated experience as an NC/CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with CAD/CAM programming tools (commonly NX, Mastercam, or similar) Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds & speeds Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience programming 5 axis CNC machines Familiarity with Client or other regulated aerospace environments Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles Experience supporting first article inspection (FAI) processes Work Environment On site manufacturing and engineering support at the Torrance, CA •facility Collaboration with machinists, quality engineers, tooling, and production teams May support both prototype and production programs Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
