In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing CNC lathe machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machining will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and cutting-edge software, contributing to innovative projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using Mastercam CAM software and G-code, ensuring optimal tool paths and machining efficiency. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately set up machining operations. Operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality standards. Collaborate with Management to review CAD models created in Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, and calipers to verify dimensions. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall productivity. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling specifications, and inspection results for traceability and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience programming CNC lathes. Strong knowledge of CNC programming techniques, G-code, and Mastercam CAM software. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling selection, geometry calculations, and machining processes. Knowledge of manufacturing best practices including lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly while maintaining safety standards.
