FlexTrades is seeking an experienced HBM Programmer/Machinist to support precision machining operations on CNC Horizontal Boring Mills. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who is comfortable programming, setting up, and operating large HBMs while owning quality and efficiency from setup through final inspection. Qualifications Strong experience as an HBM Programmer/Machinist Proficiency with Mastercam and G‑code programming Experience machining steel (carbon & stainless); plastics a plus Ability to read prints, understand GD&T, and work independently Comfortable managing one machine start to finish Experience with bar stock, castings, and forgings Own basic machinist tools and inspection gauges Contract/travel machinist experience preferred Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (Shibaura) Work with Tosnuc / Fanuc-style controls using G & M code Program at the machine, in Mastercam, or at the controller Edit and optimize existing programs for efficiency and job changes Machine primarily 3-axis parts (4-axis experience a plus) Select tooling, set up jobs, and create setup notes as needed Inspect own parts, including FAIs, to ±.001" tolerances Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided)
