Company in New Castle, DE, is seeking a well-rounded

HANDS-ON

candidate to head up the CNC Department. The candidate will be responsible for manipulation of G & M codes at machines, experience with MasterCam, setting up and operating CNC Vertical Mills (Haas

VF-10, VF-4, VF-3

& Fadal), and fabrication of custom steel, aluminum, and wood products. Full-time day shift position with an attractive salary and benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

CNC programming, set up & operation of CNC Vertical Mills for standard & custom parts Set-up and break-down of machining centers, including scheduling PM and cleaning Troubleshooting machines Creating schedules for machining centers based on production schedule Training and overseeing machine operators Must be familiar with steel and aluminum Operating other shop equipment such as manual mills, press brake, saws, lathe, drills, etc. Reading and interpreting prints, plans, sketches, and shop drawings Working with designers and management to achieve customer satisfaction Maintaining high production levels while ensuring quality Handling quick turnaround orders; some overtime required Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Maintaining clean equipment and work area Forklift certification preferred Performing related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Trade school graduate or equivalent 5+ years of programming experience with CNC Vertical Machining Centers Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MasterCam Knowledge of wood and Plexiglas is a plus Strong understanding of shop practices and use of shop tools/equipment Ability to accurately read tape measure and blueprints and translate into fabricated products using fractions and decimals Experience with laminates and veneers is a plus Must have reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
