In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CAD/CAM software, CNC programming, and manufacturing processes to design, develop, and optimize custom millwork solutions. Your will drive efficiency, precision, and quality across all projects, work at the forefront of woodworking technology, ensuring seamless integration between design and manufacturing while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Salary plus $5K relocation. Steady employment important, all levels of experience considered. Established 1987, operating in facility of over 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Duties Develop detailed cabinet and millwork designs using Cabinet Vision software, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. Create and modify CNC programs for various machining centers including CNC milling machines, lathes, and electrical discharge machining equipment. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Optimize manufacturing workflows through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve throughput. Utilize CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for detailed component modeling and assembly layouts. Program CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems to generate precise toolpaths for CNC operations. Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tooling setups, geometry calculations, and schematics to ensure high-quality output. Maintain comprehensive documentation of schematics, tooling specifications, machine calibration records, and process improvements. Experience Proven experience working with Cabinet Vision software within the millwork or woodworking industry. Strong background in CNC programming for milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar platforms for detailed design work. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes effectively. Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments including bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setups, schematics, blueprints reading, geometry calculations, and schematic diagrams. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while applying GD&T standards for quality assurance. Strong math skills essential for precise machining operations and quality control processes.
