Countertop Templator & CNC Router Programmer (CAD)

Countertop Templator & CNC Router Programmer Westwood Stone Company is currently looking for a CAD expert interested in joining our countertop fabrication/installation team. This position is responsible for templating/measuring cabinets in preparation for stone countertop installation. This position requires extensive CAD knowledge and will work both in the field at residential and commercial job-sites as well as in-office. Stone industry knowledge is a bonus, but genuine interest in bringing their CAD expertise and programming knowledge to our growing company is ideal as we can train the right person about the stone industry.

Responsibilities include:

Perform digital countertop templates at end customer's location (residential and commercial job-sites) using our digital template machine, Proliner Create CAD drawings using our countertop-specific CAD software, LT3Raptor Create detailed shop drawings for the fabrication and installation teams to follow Provide our Saw Operator with production-ready files for our 5-Axis Donatoni CNC Bridge Saw and Northwood CNC Router, including specific toolpaths and machining strategies Professionally interact with our end customers through effective communication, timely arrival, neat and efficient work, and using caution and care while onsite. Collaborate with our Sales & Production Teams to ensure all necessary data has been gathered for a smooth transition to production, including verify dimensions, hole locations, cutouts, and undermount sink placements. Maintain documentation of programming procedures, workflows, and production standards

Qualifications:

Proven CAD experience and willingness to learn the stone industry, including specifics of stone countertop/backsplash installation Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication layouts Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment Ability to communicate effectively via email Ability to utilize our in-house scheduling system Valid Driver's License It's crucial that the person selected to fill this role is highly organized and detail-oriented, service-minded, a strong and friendly communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
